Magazine Layout

The American Historian—a quarterly magazine created by the Organization of American Historians—launched in April of 2014. As the head designer, I work closely with the Editorial team to shape the overall look and feel of the magazine’s cover and feature artwork, as well as implement the layout of front matter, ads, articles, and all other content. Also worked with their development team to revamp their website design and functionality.

Journal Layout

Spotlight on China is part of a series of supplements under the “Spotlight” brand launched by Cell Press of Elsevier Science. As the designer, I was responsible for the template creation and layout of profile pages, as well as the design and layout of the feature articles.

Logo Design

A local band wanted a logo that was “simple and clean and geometrically pleasing”. After a number of iterations we landed on this final design to accompany them in upcoming shows and future digital, print, and merchandising.

Logo & Brand Identity

Kumo Board is a “balance trainer that’s fueled by air”. While the product was still in its initial design phase, I worked closely with the product founders to create a logo and brand colors that could be used during product launch.
